A very Merry Christmas from our family to yours!

I want to wish all of the readers of my blog a very blessed Christmas in Christ Jesus. You are invited to join my family and I along with the congregation of Redeemer Lutheran Church for a candle light service this evening, December 24th, and again Sunday morning as we praise God and give thanks for the gift of his Son, our Lord and Savior, born in Bethlehem. The church is located at the intersection of Thirteenth Street and Pennsylvania Avenue here in Oakmont. You can follow THIS LINK to our web site for complete driving direction.

Home for the holidays

It is going to be such a great Christmas! Family is very important to me and I have three sons one of whom lives out of state. Yesterday he called me to ask a radio question and while talking with him the front door bell rang and I asked him to hold on while I went to the door. I do a lot of my shopping on line and I assumed this was a gentleman from UPS or Fed X with a package for me.

Imagine my surprise when I opened the door and there stood Dan with his cell phone in his hand! He and his wife Nicole flew in yesterday morning and while they can't stay the entire holiday season it is really great to have them home even if only for a short while. Life is good! By the way Dan, like myself is an amateur radio operator. Amateur radio call sign KD7YMP.
